Happiness and Childhood

Today I saw you, and
I lost you.

We suffered by the light
that light up the distance
between the childhood
and the happiness.
Today I saw you from so far away
and I relived
the memory of you
in the pullchair while you imagining thousands of galaxies just in a waterdrop...
You wrote then
a letter from Madrid...
you missed the happiness
produced by running
across the playground...

In reply, I wrote
the verse which I learned yesterday by heart
before I fell asleep
about a cloudy sky...

However, I forgot
the following verse
with methafores
and red poppies connected
in the same stanza...
We suffered, Childhood,
yes, we suffered...

So, I remembered
how much I needed you
and I let you go...
I abandoned you...

Dear, Childhood,
we suffered...

But not today,
not together...
Forgive me,
Happiness.

Hoy te miré y te perdí.
Sufríamos por la luz
que iluminaba la distancia
entre nosotras...
hoy te miré desde muy lejos
y reviví la imagen del cochecito
imaginando cientos de galaxias en una gota..

Entonces escribiste una carta desde Madrid,
añorabas la alegría de
corretear en el patio de la escula...
Como contestación, escribí
el verso que memoricé ayer
antes de dormir
con metáforas y amapolas
unidas en la misma estrofa..

sufríamos, sí, Infancia, sufríamos....
Así que recordé cuanto te necesitaba y
te dejé ir...
Te abandoné.
Querida infancia, sufríamos,
pero hoy ya no...

Lo siento, Felicidad...
